Creating an atmosphere conducive to peace is essential in the negotiation process, Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan told reporters today.
He added that the Armenian side is committed to exceptionally peaceful settlement within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship.
“The issues of Artsakh’s status and security remain a priority. This is what the negotiations are focused on,” the Foreign Minister said.
As for Artsakh’s involvement in the negotiation process, the Foreign Minister described it as a “practical issue” and added that time is needed to achieve progress.
He welcomed the three meetings between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
“There has been a good chance for the leaders of the two countries to get to know each other and exchange views,” he noted.
