This year the “Golden Apricot” International Film Festival will again host world-famous cinematographers and will try to preset a good choice of films to the Armenian audience, despite the difficulties caused by the global financial-economic crisis.

This year’s festival will stand out for novelties. The jazz festival at the Charles Aznavoutr Square will be one of the pivotal events of the cultural program, Director of the “Golden Apricot” Festival Harutyun Khachatryan told a press conference today.

The jazz festival has been organized by popular jazzman Levon Malkhasyan, who will head the professional jury. The prize money of the jazz competition totals $6 000.
