Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has offered condolences to German Chancellor Angela Merkel over the tragic incident on the Portuguese island of Madeira, which left 28 killed.
“It is with deep sorrow that I learnt about the tragedy that took place on the island of Madera, which claimed about 30 lives,” Pashinyan said.
The Prime Minister expressed condolences and sympathy with the Chancellor, the families and friends of the victims, wishing them strength of soul and patience to overcome the heavy grief. He also wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
A tourist bus plunged off the road and overturned on the Portuguese island of Madeira on April 19, leaving 28 people dead and others injured.
Nine German tourists were among those who died in the accident. The coach was said to be carrying 50 passengers.
