The Central Bank of Armenia has introduced third-generation banknotes, which will be put into circulation from November 22.
The new banknotes are printed on high quality composite materials, which will allow them to be used 3-4 times longer.
The banknotes have the best protective features currently available.
The first banknotes were put into circulation on 22 November 1993, two years after Armenia proclaimed independence.
The second series of banknotes were issues on 22 November 2017.
