US Congressman Frank Pallone has described Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's speech on April 24 as "disgusting denial of historical facts."
"This hate-filled speech Erdogan gave on the day to commemorate the Armenian Genocide was a disgusting denial of historical facts," Rep. Pallone said in a Twitter post.
"I stand with [Armenia's Prime Minister] Nikol Pashinyan and Armenians everywhere in condemning a new low from this brutal authoritarian," he added.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan earlier urged the international community to respond to Erdogan, who said on April 24 that the deportation of Armenian during the time spanning the Armenian Genocide “was the most reasonable action that could have been taken.” Pashinyan called the Turkish leader’s remarks “extreme hate speech” and “justification of the murder of a nation.”
