Armenia appoints new Representative to CSTO

David Virabyan has been recalled as Armenia’s Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representative to the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). A corresponding decree has been signed by President Armen Sarkissian.
According to another presidential decree, Viktor Biyagov has been appointed to the post.
Armenia recently recalled its representative Yuri Khachaturov from the post of CSTO Secretary General.
At home he is charged with overthrowing constitutional order during the March 1 unrest that followed the 2018 presidential elections.
