The Turkish Human Rights Association (IHD) has declared it will sue theologian Nihat Hatipoglu, who converted Armenian teen to Islam live on ATV, Ermenihaber.am reports.
Turkish MP of Armenian descent Garo Paylan has also declared about his intention to file a criminal complaint against Hatipoglu.
“I met Arthur’s mother. She said her 13-year-old son appeared on the program without her consent,” Paylan wrote in a Twitter post.

The lawmaker will file a complaint to the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) and the Prosecutor General’s Office.
Archbishop Aram Ateshyan, General Vicar of the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople, has contacted the Directorate of Religious Affairs to express his concern over the incident.
Live on ATV, the Armenian boy not only refused from his religion, but also changed his named to Nihat.
The host of the show claimed he had received consent from the boy’s parents.
