Spokesperson for Armenia’s acting Prime Minister refutes the reports that the summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has been called off upon Armenia’s request.
“Armenia has not offered to postpone the summit,” Arman Yeghoyan told PanARMENIAN.Net.
The comments come after Russian President’s Aide Yuri Ushakov declared the meeting of the heads of state had been delayed at the request of Armenia, which is preparing for parliamentary elections.
According to Yeghoyan, everything has happened “as acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told reporters on December 2.”
Pashinyan had said earlier the summit would be delayed upon Russian President Vladimir Putin’s proposal.
Meanwhile, Ushakov has said the summit is unlikely to be held until the end of this year.
