The leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan have not held a meeting in Saint Petersburg, but have had a conversation on the sidelines of the CIS summit.
Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev have mostly discussed the exchange of captives.
“Unfortunately, we have not reached an agreement, as they offer an “all for all” exchange,” Armenia’s acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told reporters today.
He added however, that discussions will continue.
“There is a problem here, as we have to discuss the issue with Artsakh authorities, as well,” Pashinyan said.
Speaking to Public Radio of Armenia, the Prime Minister’s Spokesman Arman Yeghoyan said while the main discussions focused on the exchange of captives, Pashinyan and Aliyev also exchanged views on the history of the Karabakh conflict settlement.
“The content of future settlement has not been touched upon,” Yeghoyan said.
