Armenia’s acting Justice Minister Artak Zeynalyan has visited Nairi Hunanyan - the mastermind behind the October 27 attack on the National Assembly.
Hunanyan, who has been sentenced to life, serves his term at “Yerevan-Kentron” penitentiary institution.
“I’ve had a face-to-face meeting to him. We have talked about his detention conditions,” Zeynalyan told a press conference today.
Nairi Hunanyan was the leader of the five-men group that broke into the Armenian Parliament on October 27, 1999.
The attack saw Prime Minister Vazgen Sargsyan, Parliament Speaker Karen Demirchyan and six other Members of Parliament and Government killed.
The Minister did not disclose whether he met with detained general Manvel Grigoryan and second President Robert Kocharyan.
