Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be on the sidelines for up to six weeks with a broken foot, Arsenal said on Monday.
The Armenia international was substituted at half-time of Arsenal’s 2-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur in the League Cup quarter-finals last week and missed the Premier League win over Burnley.
Ahead of a Boxing Day trip to Brighton and Hove Albion, Arsenal have confirmed the player has “fractured a metatarsal in his right foot” and will miss first-team action until February.
He joins an Arsenal injury list which includes long-term absentees Danny Welbeck and Rob Holding.
