Woman has died of H1N1 virus (swine flu) in Armenia, Artavazd Vanyan, Head of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention, told reporters today.
The Ministry of Healthcare informs that 10 out of 25 citizens that applied to medical institutions were diagnosed with H1N1 subtype of type A flu.
The Ministry assures that the number of acute respiratory infections is typical to the season.
According to monitoring results, 642 citizens applied to polyclinics as of January 8.
The Healthcare Ministry said 597 people have been hospitalized, 96% of them children.
Acting Minister of Healthcare Arsen Torosyan has urged parents to avoid sending children with flu to schools and kindergartens.
