EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Toivo Klaar has welcomed the meeting between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
"Encouraged by the recent meeting in Paris of Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan," Toivo Klaar said in a Twitter post.
"Preparing the populations for peace is crucial and the EU is committed to supporting this process," he added.

The top diplomats of the two countries held a meeting in Paris on January 16.
The Minsk Group Co-Chairs said in a statement that "the Ministers discussed a wide range of issues related to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and agreed upon the necessity of taking concrete measures to prepare the populations for peace"
