Representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development have offered support in developing Yerevan’s electric transport network and construction of a ropeway.
The issue was discussed during Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan’s meeting with Matteo Patrone, EBRD’s Managing Director for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus (EEC).
Speaking about the construction of a new metro station, the Mayor noted that active discussions are currently under way with different international structures and all stakeholders to implement the programs.
Matteo Patrone said the Bank is ready to participate in Armenia’s transport reforms also through technical-economic research and estimate programs.
The parties agreed to discuss concrete proposals in the future with a view of transferring the programs to a new phase.
