Armenia is planning to get four Russian SU-30 SM multi-role fighters by late 2019 –early 2020, Defense Minister David Tonoyan told RIA Novosti on the sidelines of the IDEX-2019 military exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
He added that Armenia would like to purchase a total of twelve of these jets.
“We continue negotiations on the delivery of the next batch of SU-30 SM fighters. Everything will depend on how quickly the product can be ready, there are also issues of import substitution, etc. We plan to get the first batch this year, or at the worst - at the beginning of the next,” tehj Minister stated.
