Armenia is closely following the developments connected with anti-Iran sanctions, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Anna Naghdalyan told reporters today.
According to her, relevant steps will be taken based on assessments.
She said “Armenia is in open dialogue with all stakeholders in the process to clearly present all issues of concern and explain the logic of its actions.”
Anna Naghdalyan refrained from providing further details, noting that more information will be available after a comprehensive assessment of the situation.
The Trump administration has restored all sanctions lifted under the 2015 nuclear deal in a bid to pressure Iran.
The sanctions that went into effect on Monday target Iran's oil exports and financial transactions, hitting the country's main source of revenue and hard currency.
The Trump administration will allow Japan, China, India, Italy, Greece, South Korea, Taiwan and Turkey to escape US sanctions against Iran
