Zinedine Zidane has been reappointed as Real Madrid's head coach after the club held a board meeting on Monday evening to discuss the ongoing issues at the Spanish capital club.
Zidane left Real Madrid last May, just five days after winning his third consecutive Champions League title in the Bernabeu hotseat.
The Frenchman explained to the media that he felt the team needed a "new discourse" after three fruitful years under his tutelage.
The Frenchman replaces Santiago Solari, who was in charge for less than five months.
Real are currently third in La Liga, 12 points behind leaders Barcelona.
Solari was sacked after a 4-1 win over Real Valladolid on Sunday - which followed a shock Champions League exit to Ajax.
