Armenia captain Henrikh Mkhitaryan met with Armenia’s U-19 squad today, the Football Federation of Armenia informs.
Ahead of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship to be held in Armenia this summer, the Arsenal midfielder urged the players to be confident and prepare well.
He advised the youth not to worry and fear.
“This is a good chance for you to catch the attention of European clubs, because many scouts will be coming here to watch you and other players,” he said.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan has joined the national team to prepare for clashes against Bosnia & Herzegovina and Finland as part of UEFA Euro 2020 qualification round.
Armenia will host the 2019 UEFA European Under-19 Championship final tournament from 14 to 27 July.
This will be the first UEFA final tournament to be staged in Armenia, who reached the Under-19 finals in 2005.
